Mountain Dew Code Red is the cherry-flavoured extension of PepsiCo's Mountain Dew, and this barcode is its 1 litre (33.8 fl oz) plastic bottle for the United States.[2][1] PepsiCo launched Code Red in stores in May 2001, the brand's first large-scale move beyond its flagship citrus flavour.[3] PepsiCo's SmartLabel page for this UPC gives the bottle as about three 12 fl oz servings, with 170 calories and 46 g of added sugars per serving and 480 calories for the whole bottle, and names none of the nine major food allergens.[4] PepsiCo's product facts site states 54 mg of caffeine per serving and 153 mg per bottle.[2] PepsiCo Partners sells it to retailers 15 bottles to a case, and Walmart.com lists the single bottle at USD 1.32.[1][5]
PepsiCo has published five SmartLabel revisions for this UPC since May 2022, the earliest now retired; all carry the same ingredient statement and nutrition figures, and only the flavour line changed, from "With A Rush Of Cherry Flavor" to "Cherry Flavor Dew".[6][4] Oklahoma Human Services lists the barcode as "Mountain Dew Code Red Soda Cherry 1 Liter" in the UPC list it published in January 2026 for its SNAP Healthy Food Waiver.[7]
