About this product

Mountain Dew 1 L is a one-litre plastic bottle of Mountain Dew, the citrus soft drink PepsiCo has owned since 1964, under UPC 012000002977.[3] PepsiCo lists it in the United States as its 33.8 fl oz size, sold to trade fifteen to a case, with a label of high fructose corn syrup, concentrated orange juice and Yellow 5 that gives 170 calories and 54 mg of caffeine in each 12 fl oz serving.[1][4][5][6] The same barcode is printed on a Saudi-made bottle filled in Abha by Al Qahtani Beverages, whose Arabic label is sweetened with sugar, leaves out the orange juice, adds ascorbic acid and gives 119 kcal per 250 ml.[2][7] Amazon.sa, Carrefour Saudi Arabia and the delivery app Ninja all list the 1 L bottle.[8][9][10]

PepsiCo's SmartLabel for this bottle has had eight revisions between May 2022 and April 2025, all with the same ingredient statement.[1] Al Qahtani Beverages, founded in 1982, received an Exclusive Bottling Appointment from PepsiCo in 1983 and describes itself as the leading producer and distributor of Pepsi, 7 Up, Mirinda and Mountain Dew in southern Saudi Arabia.[7]
