Erythorbic acid, also called isoascorbic acid or D-araboascorbic acid, is a stereoisomer of ascorbic acid (vitamin C), denoted by E number E315 and widely used as an antioxidant in processed foods, including cured meats and frozen vegetables.^[1] The United States Mountain Dew statement lists it as "Erythorbic Acid (Preserves Freshness)".^[2]
