Mountain Dew Code Red is the cherry-flavoured extension of PepsiCo's Mountain Dew, and this barcode is its 12-pack of 12 fl oz (355 ml) cans, 144 fl oz in all, for the United States.[1] USDA Branded Foods names Pepsi-Cola North America as brand owner and records a caffeinated recipe of carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and concentrated orange juice, coloured with Red 40, Yellow 5 and Blue 1.[2] PepsiCo released Code Red to US stores in May 2001, after considering the name Wild Cherry Mountain Dew; it was the brand's first large-scale move beyond its flagship flavour and lifted Mountain Dew sales by six per cent in its first year.[3]
