Mountain Dew Code Red Zero Sugar is the sugar-free version of PepsiCo's cherry-flavoured Mountain Dew extension, and this barcode is its 20 fl oz single-serve bottle for the United States.[1] PepsiCo sold the same UPC as Diet Mountain Dew Code Red until 2022, when the diet line was renamed: the Diet SmartLabel pages for this barcode were retired and a Zero Sugar revision issued on 24 May 2022.[2][3][4] The 2022 back label sweetens it with aspartame, acesulfame potassium and sucralose, carries a phenylalanine warning and reads "Bottled under the authority of PepsiCo".[5] PepsiCo states 113 mg of caffeine per bottle.[1]

Code Red reached United States stores in May 2001 as the brand's first large-scale move beyond its flagship citrus flavour; the diet version followed in 2002.[4] The 2006-2013 Barcodepedia listed this UPC in 2007 as "Mountain Dew Code Red - Diet, 20 fl oz".[6] United States grocery sites still list the Zero Sugar bottle.[7][8]
