About this product
Nothing Is Sound is the fifth studio album by the American alternative rock band Switchfoot, released by Columbia Records on 13 September 2005; it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.[2] This barcode is the Target-exclusive US CD, catalogue number CK 96437, with the twelve album tracks plus a thirteenth, "Good Night Punk".[3][1] Wikipedia says the bonus song was considered for The Beautiful Letdown and cut, and Jesus Freak Hideout described it as a short, raw acoustic recording added to all of Target's CDs of the album.[2][4] Like the standard CD, this edition carries Sony BMG's Extended Copy Protection (XCP): Wikipedia's list of XCP discs pairs this UPC with CK96437.[5]
The XCP software installed a rootkit on Windows computers, and the album was caught up in Sony BMG's recall of affected CDs.[2] Wal-Mart sold its own exclusive edition with a different bonus song, "Another Christmas (Old Borego)".[2]
