Target Corporation is an American retailer headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, operating more than 2,000 discount stores and hypermarkets. The first Target store opened in Roseville, Minnesota, in May 1962 as a discount chain of the Dayton Company, and Dayton-Hudson Corporation took the name Target Corporation in 2000.[1] It was the exclusive US retailer of the two-CD edition of Harry Connick Jr.'s Only You with a bonus disc.[2]
