About

Target Corporation is an American retailer headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, operating more than 2,000 discount stores and hypermarkets. The first Target store opened in Roseville, Minnesota, in May 1962 as a discount chain of the Dayton Company, and Dayton-Hudson Corporation took the name Target Corporation in 2000.^[1] It was the exclusive US retailer of the two-CD edition of Harry Connick Jr.'s Only You with a bonus disc.^[2]
