About this product

Sportlunch is Cloetta's milk-chocolate-covered wafer bar, sold in this 80 g flow-wrapped format and described by Swedish retailers as the chocolate-bar version of the smaller countline.[3] The pack is printed in four languages, with (SE), (DK)(NO) and (FI) country badges before each denomination and ingredient block, and declares a milk chocolate holding at least 27 % cocoa together with vegetable fats other than cocoa butter.[1] Its cocoa butter, cocoa mass and cocoa powder carry a Rainforest Alliance footnote.[1] Cloetta is one of the brands owned by the Swedish confectionery group Cloetta AB.[4] The Norwegian record for this barcode names Cloetta Norge AS and gives Sweden as the country of origin.[2]

The line was launched in 1937 as Mellanmål, renamed Sportlunch in 1996 and extended in 2012 with a Power Break variant of hazelnuts and toffee; Cloetta changed its milk chocolate recipe in 2016, which altered the taste of Sportlunch among others.[5] The barcode already appeared on the 2006-2013 Barcodepedia, where a contributor filed it as "Cloetta Sport Lunch 80g" in 2008.[6]
