Lucozade Energy Caribbean Crush 1 l is a one-litre PET bottle of the Caribbean Crush flavour of Lucozade Energy, the sparkling glucose drink of the British Lucozade brand.[2] Its label names it a sparkling tropical fruit and coconut flavour glucose drink with sugar and sweeteners, made by Lucozade Ribena Suntory Limited of Stockley Park, Uxbridge.[1] The bottle, signed "Powered by glucose", lists glucose syrup (12 %) and pineapple, mango and passion fruit juices from concentrate (2 %), sweetened with acesulfame K and sucralose and containing caffeine; it gives 4.5 g of sugars and 36 kcal per 100 ml.[3][1]
In March 2021 Lucozade Ribena Suntory changed its one-litre Lucozade Energy bottles to 900 ml so that it could keep selling them for £1, and said the whole range of 1 l bottles was affected.[4] Open Food Facts records a 900 ml Caribbean Crush from that month with the same recipe and added niacin.[5] The Amazon UK listing of the 1 l bottle carries an older full-sugar recipe with 19 % glucose-fructose syrup and no sweeteners.[6]
