Syrup made by hydrolysing starch from maize, wheat or potatoes; confectionery grades contain roughly 10 to 43 % glucose beside maltose and longer chains, and it is used to sweeten, soften texture and add volume.[1] Printed as "Glukosesirup" on German labels.[2]
