Nothing Is Sound is the fifth studio album by the American alternative rock band Switchfoot, released by Columbia Records on 13 September 2005; it debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.[2] This barcode is the Wal-Mart-exclusive US CD, catalogue number CK 96534, which carries the album's twelve tracks.[3][1] Wikipedia says copies bought at Walmart came with a Christmas song, "Another Christmas (Old Borego)", which Jon Foreman had written for a charity album released in the band's hometown of San Diego; Amazon's listing describes it as a free bonus download.[2][4] Like the standard CD, this edition carries Sony BMG's Extended Copy Protection (XCP): Wikipedia's list of XCP discs pairs this UPC with CK96534.[5]
The XCP software installed a rootkit on Windows computers, and the album was caught up in Sony BMG's recall of affected CDs.[2] Target sold its own exclusive edition with a different bonus song, "Good Night Punk".[2]
