What the sources say about these ties
- Universal Music Germany runs it
- Wikipedia states the label is operated today by Universal Music Germany, where it has merged with Capitol Records as Vertigo/Capitol
- Universal Music Group owns
- Universal Music Group's own list of its companies and labels carries Vertigo/Capitol Germany under Germany; Discogs and Wikipedia also name Universal Music Group as the label's owner
Built from the ownership rows on the brand and company pages, each cited where it is recorded. Made in is the country of production on this product's record; the GS1 prefix of a barcode names the issuing organisation, not where the product was made.
About this product
Bootism: The Bootsauce Collection is a 1996 compilation by Bootsauce, a Montreal rock band founded in 1989 whose sound combined soul, funk and metal.[2] This barcode is the Canadian club-edition CD on the Vertigo label, catalogue number P2 32290, made in Canada by BMG Direct Ltd. under licence from PolyGram Group Canada Inc. and pressed by Cinram; its disc carries the same matrix number as the retail CD.[1] BMG Direct sold such editions through its Canadian mail-order record club.[3] The sixteen tracks draw on the albums The Brown Album and Bull, with a re-recorded "Moanie" and a reworked "Payment Time".[1]
Discogs groups this edition with the retail CD and cassette and a second club CD under the retail catalogue number.[4]
Where it's sold
- Discogs release 9332374 information[1] Canada used Canadian club edition: Discogs gives release country Canada and "Made in Canada"; sold through BMG Direct's Canadian record club. Current copies are second-hand · made in Canada
A listing is evidence that this barcode is sold there, on that date; a price is what that listing showed, not a recommended price. Store links may be affiliate links (how this works).
