About this product
Paola Malina is a raspberry-flavoured syrup for dilution, bottled in Poland in a 430 ml glass bottle and sold as a liquid food supplement: the label has the drinker stir 20 ml into 200 ml of water or tea.[1] The Paola syrup range passed to the Kutno drinks maker Hoop Polska in 2006, and the bottle photographed for Open Food Facts in February 2024 still names Hoop Polska Sp. z o.o. of Kutno as producer, declaring 3 % raspberry juice and the vitamins C, niacin, B6, folic acid and B12.[3][2] Hoop Polska was struck from the Polish register on 14 February 2024, its whole estate passing to Ustronianka Sp. z o.o. of Ustroń, which now appears as producer on a reformulated label carrying 1 % raspberry juice and thiamin, vitamin B6 and biotin instead.[4][1] Both companies belong to ZMB Capital, which names Paola among the brands it owns.[5]
More about this product
The same photographed bottle carries a Romanian importer's sticker naming Frocer Company as distributor and printing Produs in Polonia, which is the only evidence recorded here for the Romanian market.[2] The barcode itself has been in circulation since at least December 2008, when the original Barcodepedia recorded it under the slug syrop-domowy-malina; that capture states no producer and no composition of its own.[6]
