Read from the back-panel photograph uploaded to Open Food Facts on 2 May 2016. The panel declares sodium with GDA percentages rather than salt with reference intakes, the scheme used before the nutrition declaration of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 became mandatory on 13 December 2016; nothing on the box dates it, so valid_from and valid_until are left empty.

The maker's current Ready Brek Original page. Its ingredient statement matches the 2016 box word for word apart from the page's "Rivoflavin" misprint, but its nutrition figures differ, and the page names neither a net content nor a barcode: it may describe the current pack rather than this 500 g article. Normalised ingredient rows are recorded once, against pack-2016.

About this product
Ready Brek Original is the smooth instant porridge Weetabix Limited mills from wholegrain oats at Burton Latimer in Northamptonshire; this 500 g box was sold in the United Kingdom and its back panel reads "Made in England by Weetabix Limited".[1] The front calls it "super smooth porridge" made only with oats, vitamins and minerals,[2] and the legal denomination above the panels is "Original Oat Cereal Fortified with Vitamins, Iron & Calcium".[1] The list is wholegrain rolled oats at 60 % and wholegrain oat flour at 38 %, with calcium, iron and seven added vitamins; a 30 g serving carries 400.8 mg of calcium, half an adult's recommended intake.[1] The brand was created by J. Lyons and Co., launched in 1957 and bought by Weetabix in June 1990.[3]
More about this product
The old Barcodepedia recorded this barcode as a 500 g box in September 2007, under the misspelling "Ready Break Original".[4] The panel photographed for Open Food Facts in 2016 still declares sodium with Guideline Daily Amounts, the scheme used before the nutrition declaration of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 became mandatory on 13 December 2016,[5] and the maker's current page prints slightly different figures for the same recipe, so the two labels are kept as separate observations.[6] Weetabix Limited, registered at Weetabix Mills since 13 August 1932,[7] has been held through Westminster Acquisition Limited since 2018[8] and belongs to Post Holdings, Inc., which completed its purchase on 3 July 2017.[9]

The back panel prints the United Kingdom consumer services address (Weetabix Limited, Burton Latimer, Kettering, Northants., NN15 5JR, England), the www.weetabix.co.uk address and "Made in England by Weetabix Limited"; the box is English-only with UK GDA labelling.
A listing is evidence that this barcode is sold there, on that date; a price is what that listing showed, not a recommended price.

- Identity: 3 / 3 · Name, brand and classification recorded

- Label photographs: 0 / 2 · Researched contexts with an assigned photograph
- 500 g box, English label: nutrient evidence: 28 / 28 · Recorded nutrient rows linked to a source; not the number of nutrients that ought to exist
- Weetabix Food Company page, Ready Brek Original: nutrient evidence: 14 / 14 · Recorded nutrient rows linked to a source; not the number of nutrients that ought to exist
- markets · unknown: No retailer listing that prints 5010029013023 could be found, and the maker's current page names no pack size. The last dated evidence for this 500 g box is the Open Food Facts photograph of 2 May 2016; nothing dates a withdrawal, so status is left unset.
- evidence · unknown: The photographed panel declares sodium with GDA percentages, the scheme used before the nutrition declaration of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 applied on 13 December 2016, so the box is older than the photograph; no printed date narrows it.
- nutrition · disputed: The maker's current figures (1575 kJ, 12 g protein, 0.03 g salt per 100 g) differ from the photographed panel (1568 kJ, 11.7 g protein, sodium below 0.10 g per 100 g). The page carries no net content or barcode, so it cannot be tied to this article.
- relationships · unknown: No public register names the licensee of GS1 prefix 5010029. Every one of the 264 Open Food Facts records under it carries a Weetabix-group brand, so the prefix is recorded as inferred on the company stub and the length of the licensed block is unconfirmed.
- schema · schema_gap: The nutrient list has no key for thiamin, riboflavin, niacin or vitamin B6, so four printed rows could not be stored as values. The 2016 box prints, per 30 g serving and per 100 g: Thiamin (B1) 0.3 mg / 0.9 mg (25 % RDA), Riboflavin (B2) 0.4 mg / 1.2 mg (26 %), Niacin 4.1 mg / 13.6 mg (26 %), Vitamin B6 0.4 mg / 1.2 mg (26 %). The maker's current page prints, per 100 g: Thiamin 0.94 mg, Riboflavin 1.2 mg, Niacin 14 mg, Vitamin B6 1.2 mg.
