This is the four-can multipack of Heinz Beanz, the haricot beans in tomato sauce that Heinz has sold in Britain since 1886, when they first went on sale at Fortnum & Mason in London.[2] It holds four standard 415 g tins, each printed with a MULTIPACK band above the Heinz shield, and the maker lists it on its British site as Baked Beanz 4 Pack, 1.6 kg.[3][4] The label names H.J. Heinz Foods UK Ltd. in London for Britain and H.J. Heinz Company (Ireland) Ltd. in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, for Ireland, with a careline for each country, and the can reads "Made in England".[1][3] Both companies belong to The Kraft Heinz Company, formed in 2015 from the merger of Kraft Foods Group and the H.J. Heinz Company.[5][6]
The photographs show two label generations. The cans photographed in 2018 and 2020 read "Baked beans in a deliciously rich tomato sauce" and declare 51 per cent beans, 34 per cent tomatoes and 329 kJ per 100 g, the figures One Stop's product sheet still carried in September 2022.[3][1] The can photographed in September 2025 carries the redesigned shield with "Estd 1869" and "In a rich tomato sauce", 50 per cent beans and 36 per cent tomatoes, and 339 kJ with 0.4 g of fat per 100 g, and adds VEGAN to the gluten-free and low-sugar claims.[3][7] The name dropped "Baked" in Britain in 2008, as the company found "Heinz Baked Beanz" "a bit of a mouthful to pronounce".[2]
