About this product
Heinz Beanz Snap Pots are the haricot beans in tomato sauce that Heinz has sold in Britain since 1886, packed in single-serve plastic pots instead of a tin.[4] This barcode is the four-pot pack: four 200 g pots joined side by side under a card sleeve, 800 g in all, and the maker's British site keys its Snap Pots page by it.[5][1] Each pot is one serving, snapped off, peeled open and heated in the microwave for about a minute.[1] The sleeve declares 51 per cent beans and 34 per cent tomatoes, thickened with cornflour and modified cornflour, and 158 kcal per pot.[5] Heinz has belonged to The Kraft Heinz Company since the 2015 merger of Kraft Foods Group and the H.J. Heinz Company.[6]
Unlike the 415 g tin, whose sauce uses spirit vinegar and modified cornflour alone, the Snap Pots statement adds plain cornflour and ascorbic acid as an antioxidant.[5] The pack is sold by British grocers and on Amazon in Britain and Ireland, and a Swiss import shop sells it under this EAN.[7][2][3]
