About this product

Pepsi Light is PepsiCo's sugar-free cola as sold in Germany, the drink marketed as Diet Pepsi in the United States.[2] This barcode is the 1.5 litre PET bottle.[3] Its German label says "Ohne Zucker" and lists caramel colour, phosphoric and citric acid, the sweeteners aspartame and acesulfame K, sodium benzoate and caffeine, with 0.2 kcal per 100 ml.[4] A 2007 catalogue record names PepsiCo Deutschland GmbH as its maker, and the barcode lies in the GS1 prefix that company states as its own.[3][5] Pepsi Light has been sold in Germany since 1975.[6]

The same ingredient list was transcribed for this barcode in 2007 and photographed in 2018 and 2019.[3][4] In a test published in May 2016, Stiftung Warentest found a high level of 4-methylimidazole, a substance from caramel colouring, in Pepsi and Pepsi Light sold in Germany, and objected to the chlorate content of Pepsi Light.[6]

Where it's sold

  • Pepsi Light (Einweg) (1,50 l) [1] Germany EUR 1.89 · new · derived combi.de (Bünting group online shop) lists "Pepsi Light (Einweg)", 1,50 l, with the same ingredient statement and nutrition figures as this label; the page prints no barcode and shows the article as not available. Price as shown, plus €0.25 deposit. Barcodes 4060800151377 and 4062139025336 also carry the Pepsi Light name, so the listing may describe one of those.

A listing is evidence that this barcode is sold there, on that date; a price is what that listing showed, not a recommended price. Store links may be affiliate links (how this works).
