About this product

Diet Pepsi 1 L is the one-litre plastic bottle of Diet Pepsi sold in Canada, the sugar-free cola PepsiCo test marketed as Patio Diet Cola in 1963 and renamed Diet Pepsi the following year.[2] Its bilingual English and French label names PepsiCo Canada ULC of Mississauga, Ontario, and states that the Pepsi trademarks belong to PepsiCo, Inc.[3] The Canadian recipe is sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium and preserved with sodium benzoate, and the label gives 0 calories and 35 mg of caffeine per 355 mL.[3][2] Metro listed the bottle for Quebec under this UPC in a 2018 promotion.[1]

The back label carries the COR 33 kosher mark and the bottle deposit wording "Return for refund where applicable".[3]
