Mountain Dew Amp Energy Original is PepsiCo's citrus-flavoured energy drink, and this barcode is its 16 fl oz (473 ml) single can for the United States.[2] The front is signed by the Mtn Dew and AMP logos, both registered trademarks of PepsiCo, and promises "caffeine + B-vitamins".[3][4] The label gives 142 mg of caffeine and 220 calories per can, all 58 g of its carbohydrate as added sugars, the same caffeine figure PepsiCo's product facts page states for this GTIN.[4][2] PepsiCo's wholesale site still offers the can in cases of twelve.[1]

Amp launched in 2001 as a Mountain Dew flavour extension, carried its own Amp Energy trademark from 2009 and returned to Mountain Dew branding in 2018.[5] A can photographed in 2019 lists sodium hexametaphosphate and brominated vegetable oil, as do USDA's GDSN record and PepsiCo's wholesale listing, while cans photographed in 2020 and 2022 list sodium polyphosphates instead.[6][7][1][4][8] The old Barcodepedia page called it the "Tall Boy" can.[9]
