About this product
Mona Lisa Smile: Music From the Motion Picture is the soundtrack album of the 2003 film Mona Lisa Smile, directed by Mike Newell and starring Julia Roberts,[1] and this barcode is its Asian compact disc edition, issued in 2003 on Epic and Sony Music Soundtrax under the US catalogue number EK 90737 and distributed by Sony Music Asia.[2] Trevor Horn produced the album, and Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote a new song for it, "The Heart of Every Girl".[3] Its fifteen tracks, mostly standards sung by Seal, Tori Amos, Céline Dion, Macy Gray, Chris Isaak, Mandy Moore, Alison Krauss, Kelly Rowland, Lisa Stansfield and Barbra Streisand, end with a suite by the film's composer Rachel Portman.[2]
The disc was glass mastered by Sony DADC; its matrix and mastering code follow the pattern of Sony DADC's Austrian plant.[2][4] Discogs lists seventeen 2003 versions of the album; the North American, European and Russian CDs carry other barcodes.[5]
