Hachette UK (Holdings) Limited is the British holding company through which the Hachette group holds its UK publishing businesses, registered at Carmelite House, 50 Victoria Embankment, London.[1] Its confirmation statement for 30 September 2024 records Hachette Livre SA, the French publishing arm of the group, as holder of all 157,617,001 ordinary shares.[2] Above Hachette Livre, its register entry names Lagardère SA, notified 5 October 2023 with 75% or more, and Louis Hachette Group SA, notified 16 December 2024.[3] It is the registered shareholder of Little, Brown Book Group Limited, with 75% or more of the shares since 6 April 2016.[4]

It was incorporated on 26 January 1999 as Ibis (475) Limited, renamed HL 99 Limited that April, Hachette Livre UK Limited on 1 November 2004 and Hachette UK (Holdings) Limited on 20 January 2009.[1] Vivendi SE appeared briefly on the register, notified and ceased on 1 December 2023, during its takeover of Lagardère.[3]
