About Erato Disques
Erato Disques S.A. is the Paris company founded in 1953 by Philippe Loury, head of the music publisher Costallat, to issue recordings of French classical music on the Erato label.[1] RCA Records obtained a minority interest in 1972, and Daniel Toscan du Plantier ran the company from 1985 until about 1988.[1] Warner Music Group took it over in 1992.[1] It holds the ℗ on Erato releases such as the 1991 Prokofiev symphonies box.[2]
