The ownership drawing

Earlier

What the sources say about these ties
Universal Music Germany runs it
Wikipedia states the label is operated today by Universal Music Germany, where it has merged with Capitol Records as Vertigo/Capitol
Universal Music Group owns
Universal Music Group's own list of its companies and labels carries Vertigo/Capitol Germany under Germany; Discogs and Wikipedia also name Universal Music Group as the label's owner

Built from the ownership rows on the brand and company pages, each cited where it is recorded. Made in is the country of production on this product's record; the GS1 prefix of a barcode names the issuing organisation, not where the product was made.

About this product

Bootism: The Bootsauce Collection is a 1996 compilation by Bootsauce, a Montreal rock band founded in 1989 whose sound combined soul, funk and metal.[2] This barcode is the Canadian cassette edition on the Vertigo label, catalogue number 314 532 290-4, manufactured for and distributed by PolyGram Group Canada Inc.[1] Its sixteen tracks run eight to a side, from "Scratching The Whole" to "Masterstroke", and include "Everyone's a Winner", the Hot Chocolate cover that won the 1992 Juno Award for Best Dance Recording.[1][2]

Discogs groups the cassette with a retail CD on Vertigo and BMG Direct club-edition CDs under one master release.[3]

Where it's sold

A listing is evidence that this barcode is sold there, on that date; a price is what that listing showed, not a recommended price. Store links may be affiliate links (how this works).
