Lucozade Energy Raspberry Ripple 500 ml is a plastic bottle of sparkling raspberry-flavoured glucose drink, sweetened with sugars, acesulfame K and sucralose, from the Lucozade Energy range.[1] Lucozade is a British brand that Suntory bought from GlaxoSmithKline in 2013.[2] Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I launched the flavour in March 2021, calling the name "iconic and nostalgic for British consumers", and first sold it in 380 ml bottles.[3][4] Tesco listed this 500 ml bottle that summer.[1] Its label gives 33 kcal, 8.1 g of carbohydrate and 4.1 g of sugars per 100 ml, plus 1.2 mg of niacin.[5]
The launch followed Citrus Chill and Watermelon & Strawberry Cooler in the flavoured Energy range, which had contributed £60.7 million of energy-category sales in the 52 weeks to 22 November 2020.[6] The maker's current Lucozade Energy range page lists Orange, Original, Apple, Cherry, Caribbean Crush and Blue Burst, without Raspberry Ripple.[7] On Amazon.co.uk the flavour appears as a 12 x 900 ml case, shown as currently unavailable.[8]
