Uncle Ben's Bistro Express Mexican Style (À la mexicaine) is a 250 g pouch of ready-to-heat long grain parboiled rice cooked with tomatoes, poblano peppers, dehydrated vegetables and spices, sold in Canada with an English and French label.[2] Mars Canada, which ran the Uncle Ben's Canada website, described it in 2019 as creamy and flavourful with no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives, heated in the pouch for 90 seconds in a microwave or in a skillet with 30 ml of water.[3] A serving of 125 mL (90 g) declares 120 Calories and 390 mg of sodium.[2] The pouch carried a "New / Nouveau" flash.[2]
Mars renamed the brand Ben's Original in 2020.[4] The Ben's Original Canada site lists a Bistro Express Mexican Style pouch of the same 250 g size, which Amazon.ca sells under UPC 058496459147 with Mars Canada Inc. named as manufacturer and Canada as country of origin; Walmart.ca listed the Ben's Original pouch at $2.98 in September 2026.[5][6][7]
