Mars Canada is the Canadian company of Mars, Incorporated, with its national office, a food plant and a petfood plant in Bolton, Ontario; it began in the late 1940s as a branch of Uncle Ben's Inc., became Effem Foods Ltd. in 1974 and Effem Inc. in 1998, and has used its current name since 2007.[1] GLEIF records the legal name Mars Canada Inc. at 37 Holland Drive, Bolton, with EFFEM Inc. as previous legal name; that LEI (549300M3DNWVRUQO7W15) is retired after a 2016 merger into a successor of the same name, so it is not stored as a current register id.[2] Wikipedia calls the company Mars Canada Ltd. Its Mars Food Canada unit announced in November 2021 that Ben's Original rice was widely available across Canada.[3]
