Jolly Rancher Original Flavors Hard Candy 14 oz is a resealable bag of individually wrapped hard candies in five flavours, blue raspberry, green apple, cherry, grape and watermelon, sold in the United States by The Hershey Company.[1] The current label declares corn syrup, sugar, malic acid, natural and artificial flavour, four artificial colours and soy lecithin, with a 2-piece (12 g) serving of 45 calories and about 33 servings to the bag.[2] The back of the pack names The Hershey Company of Hershey, Pennsylvania, and says the candy was made in Canada.[2] Jolly Rancher began in Golden, Colorado, in 1949 and has belonged to Hershey since 1996.[3]
An earlier label, photographed in 2021, gave a 3-piece (18 g) serving of 70 calories, about 22 servings per bag, and listed mineral oil among the minor ingredients.[4] The USDA Branded Foods record published in July 2023 carries that older list under the brand owner Leaf, Inc.[5] Leaf bought the brand from Beatrice Foods in 1983 and sold its North American confectionery brands to Hershey in 1996; Hershey moved Jolly Rancher production to its plant at Granby, Quebec, after buying The Allan Candy Company in 2014.[3]
