About this product
Pepsi Max 600 mL is the single-serve Australian PET bottle of Pepsi Max, PepsiCo's sugar-free cola.[2] Its black label reads "MAX TASTE ZERO SUGAR", carries a 3.5 Health Star Rating and gives 12 kJ per 600 mL bottle; the drink is sweetened with aspartame (951) and acesulfame potassium (950) and coloured with caramel (150d).[1][3] The Pepsi trade marks are used under licence and the bottle is made in Australia, where Asahi Beverages is PepsiCo's licensed manufacturer and distributor of Pepsi.[1][4] The back label carries a 10¢ container-deposit refund and an Australian consumer-enquiries line.[1]
The bottle has carried at least two label generations. Open Food Facts photographs show an older black pack with the pre-2023 Pepsi disc, styled "MAX Taste NO SUGAR" and "Low Joule Cola Drink" (2020–2022), declaring 10 kJ per bottle, and the current pack with PepsiCo's 2023 globe logo declaring 12 kJ.[5][3][1] Asahi Beverages, formerly Schweppes Australia and now the non-alcohol business of Japan's Asahi Group, has been PepsiCo's exclusive Australian bottler for the Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Mountain Dew, Gatorade and 7Up brands for more than twenty years.[4][6]

- markets · not_researched: amazon.com.au was searched on 2026-09-25 (on-site search "pepsi max 600ml", web searches for the Pepsi Max range and for barcode 9313820000862). The store carries only 24-bottle cases (B01EX16VBS "Pepsi Max 600ml x 24", currently unavailable; B0CRH85CWN "Pepsi Max Soft Drink 600 ml (Pack of 24)") and other sizes; none is this single 600 mL bottle and none prints this barcode.
- markets · not_researched: Woolworths (product 175763) and Coles (9107681) list this pack as "Pepsi Max No Sugar Cola Soft Drink Bottle 600ml", but both product pages are JavaScript-rendered and returned Access Denied (403) or a noindex shell on 2026-09-25, so no current price could be read.
- relationships · unknown: The licensee name on the back label, printed between "used under licence" and "Beverages. Made in Australia", is partly outside the photographed frame; the manufacturer is identified from Asahi's and Wikipedia's statements that Asahi Beverages is PepsiCo's licensed Australian manufacturer, not read directly from this pack.
- relationships · not_researched: Prefix 9313820 is an Australian GS1 block; the Open Food Facts block search under 9313820* returns PepsiCo brands (Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Mountain Dew, 7Up, Bubly), 18 of 49 packs sharing the Pepsi brand among the first read on 2026-09-25. No source names the registrant and the licensed prefix length is unknown, so nothing is written to gs1_prefixes.
- ingredients · unknown: The ingredient statement was read from the 2022 label photograph (older-look pack); the 2025 photographs do not show a legible ingredient list, so whether the current pack's ingredients are unchanged has not been confirmed.
