About this product

Pepsi Zero Zucker is the German name of PepsiCo's sugar-free cola, here in a 1.25-litre single-use PET bottle that carries the €0.25 Einwegpfand deposit.[1] The label calls it a caffeinated soft drink with sweeteners, low in calories and without sugar, sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame K, and names PepsiCo Deutschland GmbH of Neu-Isenburg as the company placing it on the market under licence from PepsiCo, Inc.[1] It declares 0.5 kcal per 100 ml and five 250 ml portions to the bottle.[1] Globus sells it under this barcode for €1.49 plus deposit,[2] and a wholesaler ships it in cases of six, 630 bottles to a pallet.[3]

The drink was sold in Germany as Pepsi MAX until PepsiCo Deutschland renamed it Pepsi Zero Zucker, with a new design, from 1 January 2023, ahead of its thirtieth anniversary; the company said the recipe stayed the same.[4] The front label pairs the Pepsi globe with the line "Maximaler Geschmack",[5] and the back label notes that the composition varies within the EU, referring readers to www.info.pepsico.eu.[1]
