Toblerone was created in Bern in 1908; its name joins Tobler, the surname of co-founder Theodor Tobler, and torrone, the Italian word for nougat.[10] It was made only in Bern until 2022, when a limited part of the range began production in Bratislava.[10] A 2014 photograph shows this bar under Kraft Foods importers in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain,[8] and the old Barcodepedia listed it as Toblerone 50g in 2008.[11]
