Come to Daddy is the United States CD edition of the double EP by Aphex Twin, the recording name of the British producer Richard D. James, issued on 21 October 1997 on Sire with the catalogue number 31001.[1][2] Its eight tracks open with the "Pappy mix" of the title song, whose Chris Cunningham video Pitchfork later placed first in its list of the best music videos of the 1990s, and close with "IZ-US".[3][1] Warp Records Ltd. holds the 1997 recording and publishing copyright; the disc was manufactured and distributed by Sire Records Group Inc., which the pack calls a Warner Music Group company, and was glass mastered and pressed by WEA Manufacturing at its Olyphant plant.[2] The sleeves are printed in the U.S.A. and the disc made in the U.S.A.[2]
The same eight tracks first appeared in Britain six days earlier, on 16 October 1997, as the Warp Records disc WAP94CDX, which replaced the two shorter CDs WAP94CD and WAP94CDR that had split the material between them.[4][5] The packaging sets stark black lettering against white, and its two images are photographs by Stefan De Batselier that Cunningham altered to put James's face on children.[5][2]
