About this product
Extra Peppermint in the 35-stick Mega Pack is the largest stick pack of Wrigley's Extra sugarfree chewing gum on the maker's American site, which lists it with this barcode.[1] The sticks come in a clear plastic box with a hinged lid, banded "Long Lasting Flavor" and "Naturally and Artificially Flavored".[2] The Amazon.com listing for the UPC names the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company of Chicago as manufacturer contact.[3] Each 2.5 g piece has 5 calories and 2 g of sugar alcohols; the gum is sweetened with sorbitol, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, aspartame, mannitol and acesulfame K, coloured with Blue 1 Lake, and carries a warning for phenylketonurics.[1]
Wrigley introduced Extra to the United States in 1984 as its first sugarfree gum.[4] It was the first sugarfree gum sweetened with aspartame rather than saccharin.[5] The USDA Branded Foods record of 2023 lists the same ingredients in the same order under the brand owner Mars, Inc., with a serving of one 2.7 g stick.[6]

- packaging · unknown: Net weight of the pack: the maker's page gives 35 servings of one 2.5 g piece but no net weight, and Amazon's "Item Weight 3.09 ounces" is a shipping attribute, not a label figure
- nutrition · disputed: Serving weight: USDA's 2023 record gives 1 stick at 2.7 g, the maker's page in 2026 gives 1 piece at 2.5 g; whether the stick weight changed or one source rounds differently is not established
- images · unknown: Back panel, ingredient statement and Nutrition Facts panel of this pack: Open Food Facts holds only the 2019 front photograph
- markets · unknown: Amazon.com: searched on 2026-09-25 for the full name, "Extra gum" and the barcode; the single-pack listing B006TFBLQW was unavailable with no price, the other Extra Peppermint mega pack listings are multipacks
