Acetic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids are the food additive E472a in the Union list of Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008, listed separately from the mono- and diglycerides themselves (E471).^[1] Chewing gum declares them among the emulsifiers, as on First Sensations Ahududu & Karadut gum.^[2]
