Added a Relations section: owned_by company/paulaner-brauerei-gruppe (63.8 %, from 2017-07-04 when Brau Holding International was merged into the Paulaner group), owned_by company/ireks (25.8 %, the second registered shareholder, 10.4 % free float) and parent_org company/schorghuber-unternehmensgruppe (70 % of the Paulaner joint venture, Heineken 30 %), all sourced to the two German Wikipedia articles. Created three company stubs: Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe (HRB Munich 158981, its own owned_by rows to Schoerghuber and the existing company/heineken), Schoerghuber Unternehmensgruppe (legal name Schoerghuber Stiftung & Co. Holding KG) and Ireks (IREKS GmbH, HRB Bayreuth 86). Rewrote About into a lede plus a history paragraph covering Sandlerbraeu and Moenchshof, the 1986 Schoerghuber entry, the 1990s takeovers of Sternquell, Braustolz and EKU, Bad Brambacher, Coburg 2002, Scherdel and the 90.7 % of Wuerzburger Hofbraeu from 2003, the Schweinfurt and Kitzmann trademarks, the 2010 delistings and the 2024 consolidation scope. Prefix 4082100 is written to gs1_prefixes_inferred, not gs1_prefixes: no public register names a prefix licensee, and the basis (13 of 14 Open Food Facts packs under the prefix are Kulmbacher Moenchshof beers, one branded 'Moenchshof Brauerei (Kulmbacher Brauerei AG)', the 14th an unrelated US record) is stated in About, together with the note that the brand's EAN-8 codes carry no company prefix. New References rows: paulaner-wiki, schoerghuber-wiki and off-prefix; kulmbacher-wiki and kulmbacher-imprint were re-fetched today and their accessed dates and locators updated. Added a Meta title and description and a 'Kulmbacher Gruppe' search alias. Nothing was removed. Unresolved: the date Ireks took its stake, and the joint venture's start year, which the Paulaner article gives as 2001 and the Schoerghuber article as 2002 (recorded in the Paulaner stub's About).. This is the current version.

Kulmbacher Brauerei Aktien-Gesellschaft is a German brewing group in Kulmbach, Upper Franconia, founded in 1846 as Reichelbräu by Johann W. Reichel, Johann K. Scheiding and Johann M. Hübner and converted into a stock corporation in 1895.[^kulmbacher-wiki] Its majority shareholder, with 63.8 % of the share capital, is the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe, a joint venture in which the Schörghuber group holds 70 % and Heineken 30 %; the Kulmbach food manufacturer Ireks holds 25.8 % and 10.4 % is free float.[^kulmbacher-wiki][^paulaner-wiki][^schoerghuber-wiki] The group sold just under 3.64 million hectolitres of drinks in 2024 and brews Kulmbacher, Mönchshof, EKU, Kapuziner, Sternquell and Braustolz beers.[^kulmbacher-wiki] It trades from Lichtenfelser Straße 9, 95326 Kulmbach, and is registered at the Bayreuth local court under HRB 62.[^kulmbacher-imprint]
The range grew from 1980 with Sandlerbräu and, in 1984, Mönchshof-Bräu; the Schörghuber group took 49.9 % of the share capital in 1986 and Kapuziner Weißbier followed in 1987. During the 1990s the company took over Sternquell-Brauerei in Plauen, Braustolz in Chemnitz and the Erste Kulmbacher Aktienbrauerei (EKU), whose business passed to the renamed Kulmbacher EKU Brauerei GmbH after its insolvency, and a majority of Bad Brambacher Mineralquellen; EKU, Reichel, Sandler and Mönchshof have been united in Kulmbacher Brauerei AG since 1996. The Coburg breweries Sturm and Scheidmantel followed in 2002, Privatbrauerei Scherdel and a 90.7 % majority of Würzburger Hofbräu AG from 2003, and the trademarks of the insolvent Brauhaus Schweinfurt in 2015 and of Kitzmann in September 2018. The shares left the Frankfurt stock exchange on 12 January 2010 and the Munich m:access segment on 30 November 2010. The 2024 consolidated accounts include Sternquell-Brauerei, Braustolz, Würzburger Hofbräu, Scherdel Bier, Keiler Bier, Sternla Bier and Bad Brambacher Mineralquellen (85 %) among others; Braustolz has been brewed in Plauen since the Chemnitz brewery closed in 2017.[^kulmbacher-wiki] No public register names the licensee of a GS1 company prefix, so 4082100 is recorded as inferred, not sourced: of the 14 Open Food Facts packs whose barcode starts with it, 13 are Kulmbacher's Mönchshof beers, one of them filed under the brand "Mönchshof Brauerei (Kulmbacher Brauerei AG)", and the fourteenth is an unrelated US record that looks like a mistyped barcode.[^off-prefix] Kulmbacher's own packs are also sold under EAN-8 codes (40805214, 40821122), which carry no company prefix.[^off-prefix]
