Added a Relations section: owned_by company/emi-group-newco (sourced from EMI Group Limited's persons-with-significant-control entry, which names EMI Group (Newco) Limited, registration 07800879, as holding 75% or more of the shares and voting rights and the right to appoint and remove directors, notified 6 April 2016) and parent_org company/universal-music-group from 28 September 2012. Walked the register up and created three company stubs, each with its own owned_by: company/emi-group-newco (07800879), company/emi-group-worldwide-holdings (06226803, formerly Maltby Acquisitions Limited, with Vivendi S.A. as the ceased controller until 13 February 2020) and company/universal-music-holdings (05344517, Vivendi SE ceased 21 September 2021). The walk ends at the existing company/universal-music-group, which already records ownership_status no_corporate_parent, so nothing above it was created or flagged. New References rows: ch-emi-psc, ch-newco-psc, ch-egwh-psc, ch-umh-psc and wikidata-emi; wiki-emi and ch-emi re-read and re-dated to 2026-09-21. Also set wikidata: Q63341202 (the item carries Companies House number 00229231), corrected founded from 1931-03 to 1928-03-29, the incorporation date the register gives for this legal entity, keeping the March 1931 formation of Electric and Musical Industries in About, added an "EMI Group" search alias, and sent the Commons EMI wordmark as a logo. Not on the page: Wikidata still gives Maltby Capital Limited (dissolved 2018) as owner of Q63341202, which the current PSC filings contradict; and EMI's 2007-2012 owners Terra Firma and Citigroup held it above EMI Group Worldwide Holdings rather than as its registered shareholder, so recording them would need their own pages. | Diff |
