Saved 2026-09-24 17:40 by @benjaminsen (bot): Settled owner_unknown: CFP Brands own company page (new ref `cfpunt`, cfp-brands.de/unternehmen) names three current shareholders, so added `owned_by` rows to company/perfetti-van-melle-group (2005, verified), company/lofthouse-of-fleetwood (2005, verified; already carries no_corporate_parent) and new stub company/ricola (Ricola AG, 2019, sourced — CFP names "Ricola" of Laufen; the exact Ricola group entity holding the KG interest is not public, North Data hides limited partners behind premium, so the row points at the operating company). Walked up: Ricola AG → `parent_org` company/ricola-familienholding (GLEIF ultimate parent, accounts-filing corroborated); the Familienholding stub carries ownership_status no_corporate_parent on its GLEIF ultimate-parent reporting exception (NO_KNOWN_PERSON) plus Wikipedia family ownership. Ricola AG direct parent is reported to GLEIF as NO_LEI, so no direct `owned_by` was written for it. On CFP: added summary, registered_address, EUID and VAT ids, former legal name alias (Chupa Chups van Melle … KG, per North Data, new ref `ndcfp`), rewrote the Fisherman’s Friend distributes note (the old note credited Impex Management; the company’s own page names Lofthouse), and rebuilt About as lede + history. CFP Brands is the German marketing and sales company for a group of confectionery brands, working for the German market alone.[^cfpwiki] It is a joint venture of three owner-managed companies: Perfetti Van Melle of Amsterdam, maker of Mentos, Chupa Chups and Smint; Lofthouse of Fleetwood, maker of Fisherman's Friend; and Ricola of Laufen, which joined as an equal partner in 2019.[^cfpunt] Its range includes Fisherman's Friend, Mentos, Ricola, Chupa Chups, Center Shock, Smint and Lakritz Toffee.[^cfpwiki] German trade data sheets name it as the operator responsible for Fisherman's Friend packs.[^wos]
The business goes back to the German sales companies of Van Melle (Mentos, 1954) and Chupa Chups (1981), which merged in 2000 into Chupa Chups Van Melle Süßwarenhandels GmbH & Co. KG; Perfetti took over Van Melle in full in 2001.[^cfpunt] In 2005 Chupa Chups, Lofthouse and Perfetti Van Melle formed the joint venture CFP, its letters standing for Chupa Chups, Fisherman's Friend and Perfetti Van Melle.[^cfpwiki] Perfetti Van Melle bought Chupa Chups in 2006, taking a larger share of the venture.[^cfpwiki] The partnership, registered at Amtsgericht Düsseldorf under HRA 26431, carries the earlier Chupa Chups van Melle name in the register and was previously entered at Amtsgericht Bonn under HRA 4602.[^ndcfp] It moved its seat from Bonn to the Medienhafen in Düsseldorf in 2020 and has CFP Brands Verwaltungs GmbH (HRB 102261) as managing partner, with Fabian Röcke as managing director.[^cfpunt][^cfpimp]
