Sony Music Entertainment México, S.A. de C.V. is Sony's Mexican record company, active under that name from 1991, with its address at Av. Henry Ford No. 3 in the San Nicolás industrial district of Tlalnepantla, State of Mexico; Discogs files it under Sony Music Entertainment and records that it took the name Sony BMG Music Entertainment (México) in 2004, though releases often kept the earlier name.[1] Its manufacturing plant in Tlalnepantla de Baz, named Sony Music México in disc matrices, pressed vinyl from the 1950s under earlier owners, came to Sony with the purchase of CBS Records in 1988, added cassettes in 1991 and CDs in 1994, and closed in 2015.[2] The company is credited as maker of the Mexican CD of George Michael's Patience.[3]
