About Shanghai Municipal Investment Group
Shanghai Municipal Investment (Group) Corporation (上海城投（集团）有限公司), known as Shanghai Chengtou, is the Shanghai municipal infrastructure group. Its predecessor, the Shanghai Urban Construction Investment and Development Corporation, was founded in 1992 and was converted into a limited liability company in 2014; it has registered capital of 50 billion yuan, more than 17,000 staff and four business lines — roads and bridges, water, environment and property — and it is wholly owned by the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.[1] The 2024 tracking rating report on its bonds prints the same chain as a chart, the commission holding 100 % of the company, and keeps its issuer rating at AAA.[2] Wikipedia describes it as a municipal wealth fund of the Shanghai government and a large shareholder of Greenland Holdings and of the listed Shanghai SMI Holding.[3]
It is on this site as a shareholder of Bright Food (Group) Co., Ltd.: its predecessor received the 29.16 % that five other state holders gave up on 14 October 2011, and it subscribed 39.1719 % of the company's capital at the date of the 2024 bond prospectus.[4]
