The state business register lists it as MONDELEZ FRANCE SAS, SIREN 808234801, created 3 December 2014, seated at 65 quai Georges Gorse in Boulogne-Billancourt, with wholesale of sugar, chocolate and confectionery (NAF 46.36Z) as its declared activity; the founded date above is that registration, not the age of the business.^[1] Wikipedia records that the company LU France took the name Mondelez France in 2013, LU itself dating from Lefèvre-Utile in Nantes in 1846 and passing from Danone to Kraft Foods in 2007 and to Mondelēz International in the 2012 split.^[2] The group's own French page describes about 2,700 employees across 11 French sites, including eight biscuit factories, a European biscuit research centre at Saclay and the Boulogne-Billancourt head office, for brands such as LU, Belin, Granola, Mikado, Oreo, Milka and Côte d'Or.^[3]

The earlier note that nothing distinguished the two register entries is settled: the register also holds MONDELEZ FRANCE SAS (KJS), SIREN 352775852, created in 1989, seated at 6 avenue Réaumur in Clamart and closed on 2 July 2015, and it is that commune the retailer data sheet still reproduces as the operator address for LU Granola, "Mondelez France SAS, BP 100, 92146 Clamart Cedex".^[1][4] The register publishes no former names, so which entry carries the 2013 renaming cannot be shown from it; the active company is the one recorded here.

GS1 prefix 3017760 remains inferred rather than sourced. An Open Food Facts search for barcodes beginning with those digits returns 258 packs that are essentially one French biscuit portfolio, LU, Belin, Heudebert, Brun, Prince, Pim's, Granola, Mikado and belVita,^[5] and a wholesaler catalogue lists 200 g Granola Chocolat au Lait LU under gencode 3017760826174,^[6] which points at this company, whose name is on those packs.^[4] No source naming the licensee was found: searched were the GS1 France and gs1.org prefix and member pages (no public per-prefix lookup), the French state register record, Mondelēz International's own French site, and web searches for the digits 3017760 combined with GS1, préfixe, GLN and Mondelez. A later sourced statement, a GS1 or registry record or a filing would move the prefix to gs1_prefixes.
