Mars Wrigley Confectionery France is the Mars group's French chocolate and confectionery company, registered under SIREN 494 887 854 at 3 chemin de la Sandlach in Haguenau, Alsace, since 12 March 2007, with manufacture of cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery as its registered activity.^[1] Its sole shareholder is the group's French holding company, Mars French Holding SAS,^[2] and GLEIF gives Mars, Incorporated of Wilmington, Delaware as the ultimate parent.^[3] It holds the GS1 company prefix 5000159, the prefix of the European Mars bar.^[4]

The company was created when the group split Masterfoods France into Mars Chocolat France and Mars Petcare and Food France at the end of 2006; it makes M&M's, Mars and Milky Way at Haguenau, where Mars built its bar and M&M's factory in 1976, and ice cream at Steinbourg, opened in 1989.^[5] It took its present name on 22 February 2019,^[5] after the group merged its Mars Chocolate and Wrigley businesses into Mars Wrigley; the LEI record keeps Mars Chocolat France as the entity's previous legal name.^[6] GS1's list of GDSN member companies carries GLN 5000159000000 against MARS CHOCOLAT FRANCE, and a GLN is issued out of its holder's company prefix; a second GLN, 5000159552998, sits in the same block.^[4] The prefix falls in the 500-509 range that GS1 UK issues, so the licence was taken out through the British member organisation rather than GS1 France.
