About Anheuser-Busch InBev

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) is a Belgian multinational brewing group based in Leuven and the largest brewer in the world, with about 630 beer brands in 150 countries.[1] Among them is the Beck's brewery in Bremen.[2] It is listed on Euronext Brussels, with secondary listings in Mexico City, Johannesburg and New York.[1] GLEIF records no accounting consolidation parent for the group, direct or ultimate, and gives the reason as non-consolidating.[3] Its largest shareholder is the Stichting Anheuser-Busch InBev, a Dutch foundation holding 33.42% at the end of 2022, followed by Altria with 9.33%.[4]

The group grew out of Interbrew, which bought Brauerei Beck in February 2002, merged with Companhia de Bebidas das AmΓ©ricas in 2004 to form InBev, and combined with Anheuser-Busch at the end of 2008 under the present name.[2] English Wikipedia records the Bremen brewery as held since 2008 through the group's Interbrew subsidiary.[5] The acquisition of SABMiller closed on 10 October 2016.[1] The legal entity behind the group, created on 2 August 1977, carries the Belgian enterprise number 0417.497.106 and the legal entity identifier 5493008H3828EMEXB082, with its registered office at Grand-Place 1 in Brussels.[6]
