About Beck's
Beck's is the beer brand of the Bremen brewery founded on 27 June 1873 as the Kaiser-Brauerei Beck & May by Heinrich Beck, Lüder Rutenberg and Thomas May.[1] The wordmark is signed by a red shield holding a white key, adapted in 1884 from the Bremen coat of arms after the city objected to its unaltered use.[1] The German range runs from Beck's Pils through Gold, Blue, Unfiltered, Ice and the Lemon mixes.[2] The brand has belonged to the Belgian group Interbrew, now Anheuser-Busch InBev, since February 2002, and its beers are exported to about 120 countries.[3]
