Twinings

About

British tea brand, trading from 216 Strand in London since Thomas Twining opened Britain's first known tea room there in 1706; the shop still operates and the firm is London's longest-standing ratepayer. The Twinings logo of 1787 is the oldest company logo in continuous use, and the brand is closely associated with Earl Grey, black tea infused with bergamot. Associated British Foods has owned it since 1964.^[1] The business and the brand website are run by R. Twining and Company Limited.^[2] The wordmark is printed "Twinings of London" on pack, under a royal warrant.^[3]
