About Pepsodent
Pepsodent is an oral care brand introduced in the United States in 1915 by the Pepsodent Company of Chicago, whose name came from the pepsin in its original paste; its "you'll wonder where the yellow went" campaign made it one of the best known toothpastes in the world before the mid-1950s, when rivals added fluoride first and its sales fell away.[1] Unilever acquired the company in the 1940s and still owns the brand in every market except the United States and Canada, where Church & Dwight bought the rights in 2003; it is sold as P/S in Vietnam.[1] In the Nordics the red-on-white Pepsodent wordmark signs a full oral care range, the fluoride paste Super Fluor among them.[2]
