Sisu Horna is a strong compressed salmiak liquorice pastille sold in a 40 g bag and marketed in Finland by Cloetta Suomi Oy, the Finnish company of the Swedish confectionery group Cloetta.[1] Its maker describes it as a sugar-sweetened favourite among young people whose secret is the traditional Sisu aroma of 1928, and declares sugar, ammonium chloride, liquorice extract, salt, an anticaking agent (E470b) and flavourings, with 370 kcal and 1.40 g of salt per 100 g.[2] The Finnish grocer Suomikauppa reproduces the same Finnish and Swedish label blocks, names Cloetta Suomi Oy at PL 406, Turku as the marketer and gives the Netherlands as the country of origin; that is a retailer data sheet rather than a pack photograph.[3] Open Food Facts holds a typed record for the barcode but no photographs.[4]
