About this product
Lindemans Gueuze is a filtered, pasteurised gueuze lambic sold in a 25 cl crown-capped brown glass bottle at 5,0 % alcohol by volume.[5] It is brewed and bottled by Brouwerij Lindemans, whose front label prints "Gebrouwen en gebotteld door Brouwerij Lindemans B 1602 Vlezenbeek Belgium".[5] The brewery blends young and old lambic and then filters and pasteurises the blend, making a softer, sweeter beer than its bottle-refermented Oude Gueuze Cuvée René; it has sold this post-war "capped gueuze" since 1978 and makes it in 25 cl only.[6] Because the beer is above 1,2 % alcohol it needs neither an ingredient list nor a nutrition declaration, yet the label carries the ingredients anyway and the pack shows no nutrition table.[7]

Brouwerij Lindemans traces its brewing to a Vlezenbeek farm in 1822 and gave up farming for beer in 1930; it remains a family firm.[8] It is entered in the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises as BROUWERIJ LINDEMANS, enterprise number 0433.144.689, a naamloze vennootschap seated at Lenniksebaan 1479 in Sint-Pieters-Leeuw.[9]
