About this product
Gavroche is a strong beer, 8.5% alcohol, sold in 33 cl glass bottles and labelled "bière spéciale refermentée en bouteille" and "bière de Flandre".[2] The Brasserie de Saint-Sylvestre of Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel in French Flanders, the maker of 3 Monts, created it in 1997 and renamed itself Brasserie 3 Monts in 2019.[3] Every photographed label names that brewery and says "Produit de France", but only the 2018 back label lists the ingredients: water, barley malt, hops and yeast, in seven languages.[4] Untappd lists the beer as no longer produced, and the brewery's current range leaves it out.[5][6] A French specialist shop still lists the bottle under this barcode, marked out of stock.[1]
