About this product

Walton: The Centenary Edition is a four-CD Decca box, catalogue number 470 508-2, issued in Europe in 2002 for the hundredth anniversary of the English composer Sir William Walton (1902–1983).[2][3][4] Andrew Litton conducts the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in both symphonies, the cello, violin and viola concertos with Robert Cohen, Tasmin Little and Paul Neubauer, Scapino, the Façade suites, the Hindemith Variations, Belshazzar's Feast with Bryn Terfel, the Coronation Te Deum, the Henry V suite and the coronation marches, in recordings made between 1991 and 1996.[3] MusicWeb International reviewed it in August 2002 as a mid-price set in Decca's British Music Collection, praising Terfel's Belshazzar.[3]
