Phytosphingosine is a sphingoid base used in cosmetics; the phytosphingosine-based ceramides such as Ceramide NP take the letter P from it.[1] It is listed near the end of the 2018 label of the 16 oz jar of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream.[2]
