Concentrates of fruits and plants used to colour food instead of isolated colour additives; natural colourants include carotenoids and anthocyanins extracted from plants.[1] Haribo lists safflower, spirulina, apple, elderberry, orange, blackcurrant, kiwi, lemon, aronia, mango, grape and passion fruit concentrates as the colouring in Goldbären.[2]
